 ited\, The Arc San Francisco\, and the NIAD Art Center. The exhibition tak
 es as precedent the vision of The Walt Disney Family Museum’s founder Dian
 e Disney Miller who championed arts access as a vital component of the mus
 eum’s commitment to community engagement. Moved by a Barney’s window displ
 ay showcasing Mickey Mouse paintings by artists with disabilities\, she pu
 rchased a set for the WDFM collection.\n\nThe Transformations exhibition s
 howcases the response of the selected artists to the theme of the museum’s
  concurrent exhibition\,\nWish Upon a Star: The Art of Pinocchio. Through 
 the hero’s journey from puppet to boy\, this beloved classic explores the 
 boundless\npossibilities of a curious mind and courageous spirit. Satellit
 e and online exhibitions at participating centers will showcase additional
  artwork inspired by a film that stands as one of Walt Disney’s most impor
 tant contributions to the art of animation.\n \n
